* Revamping of Instrumentation from Pneumatic Control to PLC Based Controls for 30 TPH, M/S BHEL Boiler for Integrated Offsite Plant.

* Prepared SPM(Spare-parts manual) for Instrumentation Items  of, Acrylonitrile / Acrylates , Utiliy &LAB / EO-EG Plants of IPCL Baroda complex Plants.

* Undertaken Interchangeability study for M/S. TAYLOR make different Pneumatic Instruments  Spare-parts used  in IPCL Baroda complex Plants.

* Indigenisation  of   consumable  spares for  Pneumatic Instruments of M/S TAYLOR, M/S I.L. used in Baroda Complex plants.

1.Implementation  of  Methane Ballast Scheme for Capacity enhancement of Ethylene Oxide Plant.

2.Daily/Routene & Shut-down Maintenances of  Ethylene Oxide / Etylene Glycol Plant related Instrumentation.

3.Job Planning  for  forced / Annual Shutdowns for EO-EG / LAB Plants.

4.Supervising 20 Technicians for maintenances activity of running plants.

5.On line Analyzers / Gas Chromatograph Maintenances / Spare-parts management for all instrumentation items , consumables.

6.Up grading important control loops from Pneumatic  to Electronic Microprocessors based Controls.

7.Preparing Bill of Materials, Indenting required items, Technical Evaluation of vendor’s bids , Scheduling jobs, Wiring diagram , Installations / Commissioning Instruments  for modification / capacity Enhancements schemes. Total @ 18 Schemes handled during period. (COST @ Rs. 25 Millions)

Areas of  Responsibilities / Major Achievements 

1.LAB Plant Capacity Enhancement & Conversion of Control System from Pneumatic to    Supervisory DCS Controls of M/S ABB , MOD-300. PACOL Heater fire incident, Replacements of total control system cabling , planning and executing  total job in time. Cost :Rs. 35 Millions

3. Detailed engineering  for Replacement of On-line Oxygen and Etylene Analyzers. Cost :Rs. 3.5 Millions

4. Preparations of Bill of material, Cost Estimate Preparation of Technical specifications, Loop schematics and Tender document for instrumentation revamp schemes.

5.Evaluation and scrutiny of Technical bids and awarding the work contract.

6.Spare parts manual preparation & shut down jobs planning for LAB / EO-EG Plants.

6.Assisting plant in trouble shooting of critical problems by providing technical expertise, in solving chronic maintenances related issues.

7. Revamping of Temperature control System of Dry Spun Acrylic Fibre (DSAF) Plant, from discrete component based to Siemens S-150H  PLC System.

8. Associated in critical exercise to Make / ensure all the process control systems and microprocessor based instrumentation Y2K Compliant / Y2K readiness of all the plants in all the three complex of IPCL ( Baroda, Gandhar & Nagothane )

9. History maintaining for, Running Plants critical equipments & their chronic / repetitive nature jobs are handled to cut down maintenance cost.

10. Worked with all types of process control  instruments ( flow, pressure, temp., level ,on line analytical , Density, ) of various makes like M/S ABB ,M/s Fisher-Rosemount, M/s. Fuji, M/s. Honeywell, M/s Yokogawa, M/s Foxboro, M/s Taylor, M/s Toshiba , etc. ; Programmable Logic controller (PLC) of M/s Allen Bradley and M/s Siemens, M/s. Bailey, M/s. Omron makes. Various types on-line analyzers and Gas Chromatographs , like M/s Beckman, M/s Servomax , M/s. Foxboro , M/s Yokogawa , M/s ABB  etc.

Quality control and R & D laboratory instruments like Gas chromatograph, Spectrophotometer, Viscometers, pH meters, Conductivity Meters,  of M/s Perkin-Elmer, M/s Carlo-Erba ,M/s Varian, M/s Hach, etc. ; Air Monitoring system of M/s. Environment S.A. , France. ; Distributed Control System like ABB MOD-300, Yokogawa Centum-CS-1000/XL, Honeywell  TDC-3000 .

SAP –MM Project Implementation Experience: Performed as a functional consultant for SAP – MM (4.6 C) implementation at IPCL. Total Exp.: 4+ years. Team Strength: 10.

Purchase functions in SAP – streamlined all purchasing  procedures.

Exposure of all stores functions in SAP in areas like engineering, chemicals and catalysts, packaging, finished goods, cylinders, scraps, tank age items.

All vital scenarios e.g. sub contract work, inter site (Plant to Plant) and inter company  inventory transfers of materials, loan transfers, third party Receipts, Sloc to Sloc, sub-stores receipt, etc.

Implementations of Scrap cycle & related activities in SAP.

Exposure of entire Bulk chemical cycle & related activities in SAP.

Maintained vendor master data, material master data. Performed also in  customizing release conditions and strategies in MM

MRP implementation for better review, auto indenting & inventory control and monitor. Thus, stream line processes, increase service levels and reducing costs.

Real time MIS reports generation for both Purchase & Stores     which helps optimizing business processes.
