Main Roles and Responsibilities
Ø
To support and
administer the Lotus Notes databases in order to enhance
business efficiency.
Ø
Install,
support and monitor the performance of all software to ensure it
is running efficiently and taking corrective action when
required.
Ø
Manage and
administer all relevant databases, liaising with developers to
ensure the smooth implementation of new functionality.
Ø
Communicate and
liaise with external suppliers and other IT services as
necessary, to provide an efficient and effective Notes service.
Ø
Monitor the
effectiveness of systems, databases and files, making
recommendations and actions for improvements where necessary, in
order to optimize business and system performance.
Projects
involved with:

Currently assisting consultants in the Migration of Domino 6.05
to Exchange 7

Migration and Upgrade from version 4.6.7 to 6.05

Merged two of the company Domino domains into one
·
Implementing Webmail and upgrade to iNotes with 128bit verisign
key encryption

setting up iNotes (Internet email) and moving 80 users to a

Contract
Desktop
support to end users and servers on Windows 95, 3.11, 3.1 and
NT4 Workstation.
I
Supported Mainframe, SAP 3.1, 4.0 and 4.5 on a Unix based
network and Lotus Notes 4.5 and 4.6.3 clients. In addition to
this I also worked closely with LAN/WAN, Lotus Notes, NT server
and SAP teams to provide support for these applications due to
the huge size of the site and complexity of problems that
arise.
Another of
my duties were to provide 24 hour support to all of [snip] UK
sites.

Contract
Desktop
Support to end users on Windows 3.11 and Novell 3.12.
I dealt
with server backups and restores, Server rebuilds. Provided 24
hours support to external [snip] sites in the Midlands.
My role
also included covering 1st line support dealing calls
from users.

Remote IT
Support (1997 – For approx 9 months)
My role
was to support a variety of contracts which included MOD,
Schools, Solicitors and insurance companies.
My duties
included software, hardware and servers including fault
diagnoses over the phone.
I was
responsible for setting up new PC’s and servers, bench testing
before installing on customer sites.
I also was
involved with cabling of customer sites, setting up Workgroup
and network NT domains.

Contract
During my
two years working on the [snip] contract I was responsible for
support and warranty repairs on PC’s and Servers to all
departments. This included providing support to the Mayors
Office and remote council sites.
Hardware
worked on was Compaq and HP Printers.
I also
worked on 24 hour call out to EPOS sites i.e. Woolworths, Thomas
Cook, Clarks, [snip]
I provided
back-office support to Servers, Comms equipment X25
communications between sites.
Before
