I have in excess of 19 years experience working for a global financial company with extensive knowledge of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Asia Pacific and United States (US) regions. I have superior knowledge of the Telecoms environment, coupled with in-depth server and desktop knowledge allied with excellent interpersonal skills and management experience. Strengths include excellent negotiating skills with external suppliers/vendors, excellent inter-personal and presentation skills and people management skills. Vice President - Infrastructure Director

As part of the Global Network Services team, I managed the Network Architecture and Engineering team for the EMEA region. Responsibilities of the team included development of global deployment standards, ongoing maintenance of existing products and new product research and development. Responsibilities covered the EMEA region primarily, which accounted for ~15,000 people and 50+ sites spread across 25 countries. Specific responsibilities included the following:- 

·         Ensuring global standards were consistently deployed throughout the region.

·         Taking global standards and developing new variances to better suit different economies of scale.

·         Deliver quality and timely solutions that balanced infrastructure best practices with cost and reliability.

·         Acted as primary interface for the Lines of Business (LoB) to understand their requirements and translate these into effective technical solutions.

·         Hosting of internal Line of Business and external vendor meetings to present current and future direction of the network.

·         Maintain a culture of proactive planning and collaboration which included leading major infrastructure initiatives for the EMEA region.

·         People management & development, including recruiting of new staff.

Vice President – Product Manager

As a member of the EMEA Network Architecture and Engineering team, I was directly accountable for all MAN & WAN telecommunication services across the EMEA region, including in-country services across 25 countries. Specific responsibilities included the following:- 

·         Overall responsibility for design and implementation of all MAN & WAN telecommunication services throughout the EMEA region, including in-country services across 25 countries.

·         Management of P&L for WAN & MAN services, with budget in excess of $10 million.

·         Working with Telco providers to improve service, reduce costs and implement new technologies to meet business requirements and demand.

·         Developed and implemented vendor scoring system to provide key metrics for awarding new business to vendors. This system was shared with the vendors and received excellent feedback from senior execs within the vendors.

·         Key member of Global WAN design team representing the EMEA region.

·         Contract negotiations with vendors for new and existing services.

Vice President – Network Capacity Planning & Performance Engineering Manager

As a member of the EMEA Network Services team, I managed the Network Capacity Planning group, responsible for ensuring the day-to-day monitoring and reporting of capacity on the EMEA Data network. Specific responsibilities included the following:- 

·         Produce and distribute reports to senior management on a monthly basis to show current utilisation of the network, together with future trend analysis, to ensure that increased capacity was provided ahead of anticipated demand.

·         Compile business cases to support requests for upgrades on the network.

·         Management and administration of network monitoring and reporting toolsets including Concord Network Health and EMCOM NetQC.

·         Continuation of Performance Engineering function.
