Experience

Programme/Project Management

o        Managing the successful programme of system enhancements for a Web Ordering project, this includes the management of multiple work streams, working with an Indian S.I. organisation as well as local contactors.  Budget ~£650K

o        Took control of a “in flight” project to replace current order solution with an on-line capability. Re-base lined the project in agreement with the key stakeholders to ensure the outstanding deliveries would be on time and of the correct quality. All of the work streams were delivered to the revised plan. This required the management of both on-shore resource and off-shore resource based in India and Canada. Budget ~£750K

o        Created a new project template (Mercury ITG) and customised the [snip] quality methodology to fit the NPI projects. Worked with the Programme and Project managers to get this accepted as the best practice methodology. Now adopted and has improved the quality of deliverables.

o        Successfully transitioned from an incumbent vender of the Development capability for a key revenue generation solution, this involved negotiation and agreement of the terms of the knowledge transfer and assessing the level of success. Project completed early and under budget. The key benefit of this project is significant cost savings (+£700/day) on all future system developments.

o        Took control of an on-going Multi-phase New Product Introduction project (carrier VoIP solution), the project was over budget and delayed; some deliverables de-scoped and agreed additional time for the key outstanding deliverables. Second phase of development terminated because the Business case no longer supported the work. Budget ~£200K

o        Took control of an on-going business critical project for a CPS/CLI solution. The project required the modification/upgrade of the solution to comply with regulator requirements. Included working directly with key external customers. Project involved teams in UK, Germany and India with four core development streams focusing on the solution delivery and the B2B interfaces. This solution supports a +£10M revenue stream

o        Successful execution of Development of a £900K+ pan-European role out of a NetCool solution. This project replaced the existing network management technology and was key to facilitating the business transformation of the Operational team into a centralised role. Project completed on time and to budget.

o        Successful deployment of an event enrichment project, utilising inventory, reconciliation and event management systems, completed on time and within budget. This project was subject to a major change (budget cut).

o        Successful start up and initiation of a service activation project for TDM and soft switches. Including the generation and assessment of a RFI/RFQ. Project was stopped early because the business case no longer supported the proposed work.

o        Managed the pan European development/deployment of NetExpert OSS solution (£M+). Multiple phased projects, which included contact negotiation, deployment and maintenance of hardware (servers/routers) development of the COTS for Network fault management, service activation, reporting and data reconciliation functionality.
