Job experience

 Giving support and being part of a development team in a big project, transferring all the maps data into Oracle 10g Spatial database.

§        Working with ESRI software on top of Oracle database.

§        Working with a very large database , with partitioning.

§        Tuning SQLs and Database with ADDM & EM tools.

Located in Vodafone offices, I was functioning as a technical Infrastructure leader in Clarify CRM project, I was functioning as top authority/local focal point to any database and other technical infrastructure issues in the project before it goes to the client. Also mentoring junior SQL and PL/SQL developers as well as Clarify DBA.

§    Working for Vodafone as a client, on billing & CRM systems.

§    Working on Sun/Solaris, with Oracle 8i/9i.

§    Provide Oracle DBA support for testing environments & Production VL database of Clarify eCRM

§    Provide Oracle DBA support for migrations from other systems into Clarify database, including capacity planning & sizing.

§    Tuning of VL Oracle databases using precise & trace tools, being involved in stress testing and implementing into production.

§    Responsible for all Infrastructure issues of Amdocs Clarify eCRM project on site including Oracle, Tuxedo, Weblogic and Unix (Sun)

§    Responsible for upgrading Clarify versions with massive Database schema changes of VL database.

·        Consulting on best approach for loading data in the quickest time into the database using SQL*Loader via Ab/Initio.

·        Consulting of new sizing for the database, re-indexing.

·        Writing SQL scripts to support new data.

While working for Liraz, I was doing 2 different roles:

First role:     Provide Oracle DBA support for telecom company on VAX, NT platforms, including software and database installation, upgrades, tuning, backup and recovery, writing scripts, Web applications, HR (ERP), patch installations and maintenance of Oracle databases.

                       The systems were on VAX-VMS & NT, with Oracle 7/8

Second role: Technical leader of Oracle DBA and NT Administrators on NT platforms in a development project:

·        Providing programming guidance for Designer/2000, developer/2000, discoverer/2000,ReportWriter, SQL, PL/SQL, OEM.

·        Mentoring junior Oracle DBAs

·        Responsible for installations, tuning, backup and recovery, programming, guiding developers, and maintaining many Oracle databases and NT machines.

·        Writing a whole system to support the project lifecycle, from the first change to the distribution of a version to many NT’s from 1 console in 1 click. 

This is an Oracle all around consultant role. I was consulting to several client companies with different Oracle issues, and I was also training Oracle courses.

§    Working on VAX-VMS & NT, with Oracle 7/8.

§    Provide Oracle DBA support for companies on VAX, NT platforms, including software and database installation, upgrades, tuning, backup and recovery, writing scripts, connections between systems, patch installations and maintenance of Oracle databases.
