EXECUTIVE
SUMMARY
I believe
that my strong management experience, technical and people
skills along with my education make me a very competitive
candidate. I can pick
up and develop new technologies as needed and have analytical
skills that enable problem isolation and analysis, quality
testing, application and requirement analysis as well as the
means to enable improvements in processes and documentation.
My experience in software roll
outs and hardware upgrades has made me a good change manager,
providing exceptional contributions to customer service and
support for all customers. I strive for continued excellence and
my portfolio of skills ranges from being a qualified counsellor
and motivator which impacts well on my communication and staff
management skills and helps create well motivated staff who
interact constructively on a personal and technical level. I
have run a web site since 1996 offering support to Mac users at
[snip]
this in-depth knowledge of Apple Macs; their use and support has
enabled me to develop specialist as well as general IT
management skills.
My knowledge in the industry includes roll
outs of OS X and transfer to OS X server, online PHP/SQL based
helpdesks for IT support and the management of staff; working in
the publishing, design and not for profit sectors with technical
budgets ranging from £100,000 to £1,000,000 p.a.
MAIN
EXPERIENCE
-
Hardware, Software, Internet, Mail, Security, Support,
Broadband, Networking, Mac and Windows/PC
-
IT
policy building, reporting direct to the MD. I wrote the IT
Policy and guidelines for internet use for Alternative
Plans.
-
At my
last three companies I have been directly involved in
overseeing Service Level Agreements with external
contractors like [snip], [snip] and [snip] and also overseen
accountability and responsibility for internal SLAs
reporting to Director and Managing Director Level.
-
I
created and managed Cerberus and XOOPS online web based
helpdesks used in recording, managing and prioritising
tasks, software licensing, staff management tracking and
prioritising engineers and users and increasing
productivity.
-
My work
with charities has brought me experience in maximising
tight budgets in one case only having a budget of £100, I
persuaded Microsoft to give us all our software free and a
local company to give us all the hardware. In conjunction
with Social services I have also overseen budgets involved
in the carers grant of over £1,000,000 and my present
technical budget is £100,000.
-
My
background in psychology makes me an innovative manager of
people and in a recent OS X roll out used a series of small
group meetings with staff to listen to their fears, act on
these and allay them
