My duties consisted of a variety of tasks from improving plant layout of the machining section, determining technical flaws in machining operations, preparing inspection sheets, auditing quality of the end components, assisting senior engineers in measuring and inspection tasks, ensuring specified tests on the components were carried out correctly, preparing final designs for components on AutoCAD, and also writing weekly progress reports for general managers.

My duties involved stock taking and stock distribution throughout the company, ensuring that all raw materials and components met quality standards against company guidelines and preparing Quality Inspection reports of all received components and goods.

Projects Undertaken 

May 06 – Oct 06                  Rapid Manufacturing of active textured surfaces

                                                This project was based upon researching the effectiveness of layer manufacturing on textured surfaces. The project endeavoured to investigate the efficiency of building 3D models with highly active textures using polymer powder & resin.  Various tests were carried out on different laser machines to analyse which machine had the best toner deposition efficiency.  Further experiments were then undertaken using laser sintering & stereolithography techniques; in order to evaluate its overall effectiveness.  

Jan 05 – May 06                   Stainless Steel Fuming Duct

                                                This project was centred on designing a stainless steel fuming duct.  Pro/E was used amongst other programs to design and develop this ducting.  In addition it was necessary to machine all the raw material to the specified dimensions and then assemble the various components.     

Computing Skills 

I have gained a great deal of knowledge in Information Technology.  Experience has been gained in Microsoft Office (Word version 2000, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Project), Internet& Email. I also have sound technical knowledge and experience of using the following programs: AutoCAD 2004, Pro/E 2001, Solid works, Algor, Magics.  

Activities  

I have a keen interest in team sports.  I was a member of the school football, hockey and cricket teams in which I have won many awards.  I have also been a member of the Indian National Service where I use to help the society in conducting blood donation camps.  Finally I very much enjoy art and essay writing and I have been participating at national levels.
