Summary of Job Specification
[snip] has expanded its steel making facilities in 2003 and I was hired in Manila to be one of the project team. I was hired as a Project Planner and I was a member in drafting our organizational structure and team development for Project Management of the 1.5B US$ multi steel manufacturing facility. At the onset of the project, I have to develop all preliminary schedules of the five (5) mega projects i.e., from Inquiry phase to complete start- up of these facilities. These include the drafting of the Engineering study, the Procurement phase, and the Construction up to Final Acceptance of the projects. As the Owner of the projects, we acted as the Project Manager and hired different consultants for the studies and viabilities of these projects. As a member of the Project Management Team, it is my duty to inform all parties about everything of the projects be it commercial, technical and other relative coordination works since our contractors are out-of-kingdom based. I also perform thorough analysis of Construction Budget in relation to construction schedule by discipline and formulating project progress measurements (EVA) and invoicing procedures. I am also tasked in preparing cash-flow (s-curve) for the entire duration of the project, Monthly Project Progress Report and Executive Management Report. It is my duty to initiate, plan, execute, control, and close all relevant activities which a project is involved in.
As a summary my whole responsibility is ensuring that the project includes all the work required, and only the work required to complete the project successfully, ensuring timely completion of the project consisting of activity definition, activity sequencing, activity duration estimating, schedule development, and schedule control, ensuring that the project is completed within the approved budget consisting of resource planning, cost estimating, cost budgeting, and cost control, and ensuring that the project will satisfy the needs for which it was undertaken, and ensuring stakeholders differing needs and expectations.
- Maintain an ongoing analysis of the performance of the Contractor’s activities in relation to the project Schedules, to report all variances, forecast consequences and recommend strategies for remedial action.
- Defining the physical progress of Site activities at any required times using EARNED VALUE MANAGEMENT(EVA), especially in relation to periodical progress reports and preparation of payments invoice certificates.
- Preparing Monthly Progress Report for all Contracts related to HADEED Expansion projects.
- Prepare Cost Control documents, such as cash flow forecast, S-Curves & Histograms, change orders payment schedules and cost comparison calculations.
- In-charge in the implementation / Doumentation of Plant Acceptance / Project Close out procedure , System Handling of Punch lists / deficiencies by developing a systematic and comprehensive database checklist during Mechanical Completion inspections, Commissioning, Functional Tests, Startup and PG test of the plant as per Technical Contract Specifications. Prepares all close out documentation up to Final Acceptance of the Plant.
