- Planning detailed activities and finalization of requirements and specifications in consultation with engineering consultants/collaborators.

- Forming and spearheading cross-functional teams for streamlined execution of project.

- Project monitoring and review of project schedule using software, ensuring cost control within budget, planning for cash flow requirements etc.

Technical Support/Troubleshooting

- Increasing Mean Time between Failures & Reducing Mean Time to Repair of Machines, thereby increasing productivity.

- Induction brazing of copper joints, retaining ring removal, slot wedge removing, fan blades- hub removing.

- Executing and analyzing various electrical and non-electrical tests on Generator rotors and stators based on OEM and International standards.

- Conducting a vibration analysis during balancing of rotors inside balancing facility

Operations and Maintenance

- Planning & scheduling various repair activities & materials required for job as per scope of work.

- Proactively identifying areas of obstruction/breakdowns and take steps to rectify the equipments through application of trouble shooting tools.

- Executing cost saving and energy saving techniques/measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction in O&M Expenditures and work within the budget.

- Planning and effecting preventive maintenance schedules of various machineries and instruments to increase machine up time and equipment reliability.

Quality Control/Assurance

- Ensuring adherence to quality standards (ISO 9001 and 14000) and maintaining all related documents.

Vendor Development

- Identifying and developing a dedicated and alternate vendor source for Electrical components, achieving cost effective purchases of raw materials and reduction in delivery time.

- Developing global vendor base for procurement of critical engineering specifications.

- Assessing the performance of the vendors based on various criterions such as percentage for, rejections, quality improvement rate, timely delivery, credit terms etc.

- Following up with vendors for timely deliveries and quality checks as well as ensuring timely payments

ü Rewinding of Generator rotor from 5MW to 500MW (air cool as well as hydrogen cool) at workshop as well as at site.

ü Providing engineering support to workshop and to site (Drawings, technical specifications and procedures) for various size and type of Generator

ü Executing and analyzing of electrical and non-electrical tests on generator rotors and stators based on OEM and International standards.

ü Preparing balancing analysis report, balancing certificate and other documents to submit to customer for future reference.

The company is in the business of Power plant equipment manufacturing, power plant service, power conversation, rail transport and marine system in over 70 countries worldwide.

ü Rewinding of Generator rotor from 5MW to 500MW (air cool as well as hydrogen cool)

ü Providing engineering support (Drawings, technical specifications and procedures) for various size and type of Generator

ü Executing and analyzing of electrical and non-electrical tests on generator rotors and stators based on OEM and International standards.

ü Trouble shooting during assembly stage and testing of Rotors and Stators.

ü Preparing technical reports and providing techno-commercial support to sales.

ü High speed dynamic balancing of Generator and Turbine Rotors in High speed Vacuum Tunnel (Balanced more then 100 rotors.)

ü Conducting a vibration analysis during balancing of rotors inside balancing facility

ü Preparing balancing analysis report, balancing certificate and other documents to submit to customer for future reference.

ü Conducting Electrical testing during rotating condition inside balancing tunnel.

Test Purview: Generator: Rotor and Stator: Insulation resistance measurement; HV AC/ DC test; Winding resistance measurement; Winding impedance measurement; (Standstill and Running); Surge Comparison test; Wedge checking; Purge test; Gas tightness test; Core flux test

Complete rewinding (disassembly and assembly of core) High speed balancing at 1500 rpm

- Distinction of conducting various tests such as: BDV Test, Leakage Test, Tan-delta Test, Elongation test, Pin-hole Test and chemical tests.

§ Seminar on Insulating varnishes and insulation material, Atlanta Electric Company

§ On site job training on 500MW Generator rotor winding at NTPC Talcher by Alstom SEC.

§ Seminar on Vibration analysis conducted by ABRO (Balancing software manufacturing company)
