Profile
A confident Structured Cabling Engineer CAT 5, 5e, 6 and VOIP &
IT Graduate with an in depth knowledge of computer systems,
network installation and administration. Practical experience of
PC audits hardware/software applications, scripted rollouts,
system installations, migration, hardware/software upgrades,
automatic/remote installs, maintenance of PC’s and peripheral

Currently working as a EPOS Installer and Trainer. This
involves Gold Builds in POS Touch Screen Terminals. Travelling
to various hospitality sites within the UK, installing systems,
complete with Thermal and Dot Matrix Printers. Customising and
installing CAT5 cables and hubs etc. Configuring back office
where and when needed. Training customer on the new software.
Other duties involve Supporting customers “On Call Rota”,
troubleshooting relevant issues.

EPOS Engineer. Joined the existing team of engineers out on
the road travelling to client sites and resolving issues within
agreed SLA’s. This involved maintaining on site PC and EPOS
hardware & Software, from Printers (OKI, Epson, HP, Lexmark)
installing maintenance kits. I was also required to resolve
Network issues, assemble, terminate and test additional cables.
Experience of supporting Windows based applications, which
involved, Mapping Drives, migrating users, ghosting and
configuring and testing peripherals prior to rollout. This role
requires excellent interpersonal skills with clients and
travelling UK wide on a daily basis.
July 2004 to December 2005

EPOS Installation Engineer. This involves, removal of previous
EPOS. Full installation of new equipment in a retail
environment, positioning and installation of Monitors; Displays;
Scales; Printers; ISDN, Chip & Pin and Hearing Loops. Cabling,
soldering, crimping RJ45 connectors and CAT 5 terminating and
testing. Back Office including hubs, routers, PC’s and printers.
Working within a team of five equivalent experienced engineers.

Contacted directly by XXXX Germany and offered another contract
due to my previous working experience with them. Resumed as PC
auditor, covering sites ranging from Surrey, Midlands,
Manchester, Glasgow and Belfast. Recording IT equipment,
including peripherals and user information onto a laptop. Using
in-house software to accurately store the information and
forward the relevant data to Head Office in Germany. As this
was a UK wide based role, travel national or otherwise was not a

EPOS Field Engineer UK Wide. Safely remove previous hardware
and insure safe disposal. Complete installation of EPOS
hardware/Software and upgrading where necessary. CAT 5 Cabling,
installation of peripheral devices, configuration of PC’s to
complete procedure. Retrofit work also undertaken which
included Chip & Pin, Upgrade RAM, install PIN PADS, change BIOS
setting, test peripherals and check the system is working and
conforming to recommended standards.

on PC’s based on three XXXX sites. Position stipulated
experience of working in a Windows 2000 environment. Ability to
recognise other Windows environments not applicable to this
rollout. Detect faults with PC’s unable to upgrade to this
