ENVIRONMENT:                   Extensive European wide Sun Based UNIX Network consisting of 1000 Workstations and Servers ranging from IPX to Ultra Servers connected to extensive Fibre Optic backbone, and twisted pair 100 Mbit Network's including CDDI. 

                                                                As the Senior on-site Engineer at Credit Suisse First Boston

·          The role of Senior engineer incorporates the responsibility of three other on site engineers providing all aspects of hardware support, Trouble shooting and problem diagnosis, also included in this are certain software tasks. Includes the installation and configuration of all clients and servers with a variety of operating systems from SunOS 4.1.3_u1 to Solaris 2.4 and Solaris 2.5.1 in all European locations. The majority of the servers being configured with ODS or Solstice Disk Suite.

·          Other Responsibilities include, change management, Host renaming, IP address reallocation organisation of servers in Tech Suite.

·          Configuration and maintenance of ODS and Disk Suite on production servers Europe wide.

·          Maintenance of client and server configuration and location Data bases. Additionally the Team maintains over 100 Servers at CSFB's Disaster Recovery Back up site.
