Senior Developer 

Managing a team of 6 developers working on an iDTV application for deployment on SKYs WAPDTV framework. The applications backend is based on BroadVision Developed a number of ASP, HTML and WAP sites illustrating online banking, content management and recruitment for a number of Calleo's key customers.           

The prior 8 months were spent setting up our company's pan European intranet using SQL, VBA, IIS4, ASP, HTML, Perl and JavaScript.  My responsibilities covered the development, design and management of the project, which consisted of a team of 4 and required international collaboration with the company's European management teams.  Also helped develop and manage our company's NT4 network, which involved all stages of the project lifecycle including requirements gathering, procurement, installation and support.            

November 1997 - July 1998 

Worked as an IT consultant for Calleo at a major global investment bank. My key responsibilities were the administration and development of their Y2K and EMU System databases in MS Access and SQL.  Successfully managed a major upgrade to the system involving offshore programmers from India.           

Initiated a major overhaul to the banks Y2K and EMU intranet sites helping them to restructure the large volumes of data available on their IT Systems and redesign the look and feel for the sites.  This involved using ASP, HTML, SQL and JavaScript technologies s Accuweather and Maporama into thDeveloped a number of ASP, HTML and WAP sites illustrating online banking, content management and recruitment for a number of Calleo's key customers.

Whilst on placement with the Shell Step Scheme developed a bespoke recruitment RDBMS.  My position included project planning, analysis, design, programming and testing of this system.  This involved a complete analysis of the current system, which was then used to design and build the RDBMS in Access 95, Visual Basic and SQL.  The placement also involved making presentations to the staff of Insight Resources Ltd and various Shell Step representatives and members.
