Developing in C++/C#/VB and SQL for a GIS system to track and manage congestion throughout the UK for the Department for Transport.

 

 

 

 

 

Working as part of the IT Helpdesk Team in EDC I have gained more experience in assisting others in the use of software.  I also designed and implemented a booking on system and banning system to assist the staff in both the Helpdesk and Library in their daily tasks.  The college are now taking the software college wide.  In addition I have also developed an online ASP job booking and tracking system to assist hardware technicians and staff.

Contract programming for various clients using C++/ C Visual Basic, also further redevelopments of the School Report Generator.  Other tasks included creating a company web page using Fireworks and Dreamweaver.  Other tools incorporated were CGI Scripting, VBScript and Java Script.  Negotiating contracts on behalf of the company and demonstrating finished work.  Sample Code can be supplied from the various projects.

Work Experience at National Westminster Bank, Kings Cross Road, London

During my time at the National Westminster bank, I learnt how banks operated, experiencing the use of ATM operations, sitting in on business meetings, and working in co-operation with bank staff on the IT help desk.  Although only there for a short while I was asked to build a database for internal use, which is still being used.  I was also set the task of creating a questionnaire, which is still being used today.  I feel that this helped me to identify and solve problems.
