My Role: I am working on a CME (Continuing Medical Education) courses site developing the HTML and Javascript code. Implementation of the Docent e-learning management system with an Oracle database. Visual Basic for Applications programming in Microsoft Outlook 2000 to export mail items content into a customized Microsoft Access 2000 database (ADO connection).

Developed ASP.NET pages and designed Access database for the www.seypa.net site. The site includes many database driven pages and also a discussion forum.  All dynamic ASP.NET are placed under a protected restricted area.  The users are 5 countries that participate to a study about the social exclusion of children affected by AIDS. All documents are submitted and viewed online by different user types with different access/view rights.

Built the system hosted at www.workangel.com that is an online workshop where people submit information about different companies and their services or upload design templates for the other members to see.

Programmed some dynamic ASP pages and also the electronic forum for children as part of the site www.forumtineri.net. This forum is divided in two sub-forums based on the child’s condition: children infected with HIV/AIDS and non-HIV children. A member of one sub-forum is not aware of the other forum. I also developed its administration part. (Technology: ASP with DSN less Access connection).

3.   Artgastro.com SRL, Bucharest, Romania                                   (Jan 2001 to present)

– Authorized Independent Contractor: Project Manager, Developer –

Environment: HTML, JavaScript, ASP, VBScript, ADO, IIS Administration, SQL Server 2000 Design, Implementation and Administration, Windows 2000 server

I am working on two sites.

www.artgastro.com  - a site promoting the French cuisine in Eastern Europe. The site is being developed in English, French and Romanian. It contains information for professionals in the food industry, or basic information for amateurs. It currently has more than 1500 html pages/language and over 1200 images. The technology used is mainly HTML & Javascript and a few ASP pages.

www.jobresthotel.com - a job site for people involved in the tourist trade.  The technology here is entirely ASP combined with an ADO connection to SQL Server 2000 database.

My Role:

Project: www.artgastro.com

-          Maintain the relationship with the client and ensure that all requests are met.

-          Manage data input.

-          Manage all the site translators and testers.

-          Manage the design and development of the site.

-          I am one of the two developers of this site. I made all the patterns for the site and the functional structure. I am doing most HTML 4.0 pages using JavaScript and I also do minor image corrections with Adobe products or Ulead Gif Animator.

-          Administrate the site (updates, remote settings); keep in contact with the US host of the site and the US domain provider.

Project:www.jobresthotel.com

-          Maintain the relationship with client and ensure that all ideas are well implemented and requests are met.

-          Administrate the site (updates, remote settings, database update and administration); keep in contact with the US host and US domain provider of the site.

-          Design the SQL Server 2000 database (tables, stored procedures, user administration), coding all ASP pages.

-          The site is also in three languages, but selected at runtime using ADO connections to the SQL Server database and COM objects.

4.   Edifecs Commerce (www.edifecs.com), Seattle, USA       (Apr 2000 to Dec 2000)

– Independent contractor developer and Manager of all Romanian Independent Contractors –

Environment:  Visual Basic 6, ADO, DAO, Rational Rose, MS Access, SQL Server 7, EDIFACT format files and X12 format files, UML theory, Windows 2000 Server, Rosetta NET specifications (http://www.rosettanet.org)

I developed some e-commerce Visual Basic applications (Process Builder UI & DB were solved in a timely manner)

My Role:

Project: EDIFACT2DB – VB developer

-          I had to import all EDIFACT directory files into a SQL Server database. The input files were preformatted text files. Unfortunately EDIFACT changed the format between different releases. My program had to import everything correctly. The user should only enter the path of the files (sometimes the location of the SQL Server) and the program did all the rest. Development tool: Visual Basic 6 with ADO connection

-          Administrate Romanian office’s e-commerce standards database.

-          Fix bugs and CVS code update

Project: Project Builder + MDL2DB - VB developer, database designer + VBA developer

-          Design and write code for the MS Access 2000 database containing Rosetta Net specifications

-          Import Rosetta Net e-commerce specifications into the MS Access 2000 database using DAO and Visual Basic 6. The input files were UML models developed by Rosetta Net using the Rational Rose tools.

-          Fix bugs and CVS code update

Project: Manager of all Romanian independent contractors

-          Provide support to the other colleagues who imported other standards. Therefore I also have knowledge of DISA-X12 standards and other e-commerce standards.
