database. The role involved interviewing over 30 senior
stakeholders in several government departments, e.g. TSol, DEFRA,
Cabinet Office, Attorney General's Office etc.

The project involved reviewing the Retail processes, systems and
business strategy and formulating a systems strategy. The scope
included the 400+ charity shop chain and the Wishes chain for
new goods. Processes investigated included: EPOS; Buying and
Merchandising; Stock Management and Reconciliation; Warehouse
Management and Stock Loss Prevention.

The project involved identifying a strategy to implement
Knowledge Management within Cancer Research. This involved
developing knowledge maps for key processes and conducting
workshops to identify knowledge needs and issues. Following
identification of the strategy several initiatives commenced.
These involved policy change, business process redesign and the
implementation of technical solutions.
" Customer Relationship Management (Sage ACT! Professional) -
Implemented solution to enable the Policy & Public Affairs
department to manage their contacts and communications for
campaigns. I documented the business requirements, logical data
model and design and gained sign-off. I was involved throughout
the lifecycle which included a tender to select the supplier.
" Content Management (Stellent) - Implemented solution to hold
all organisational statements, policies and press releases. I
interviewed over 25 users across the organisation, documented
the requirements and logical data model. I also identified the
current systems, data migration requirements and configuration
elements.
" Key Performance Indicators (Business Process Design; Visual
Alms) - I worked with the Knowledge Management Director to
investigate the current processes for producing the KPIs (known
as science measures). This involved interviewing managers and
senior executives in several departments and external
organisations. I recommended process and system improvements to
resolve issues in the short and long term.
" Event Management (Regis; Visual Alms; Agresso) - Implemented a
system to provide online web registration for the NCRI
conference, for worldwide delegates. I gathered the business
requirements, including requirements to interface to Visual Alms
and Agresso. The project involved RFP and ITT processes to
select the supplier.
" IS Intranet (Media Surface) - I was involved in the full
development lifecycle of the project, conducting analysis,
design and testing. I also designed business processes to enable
the site to be updated on an ongoing basis.
" Documentum erooms - I assisted in the implementation of erooms
for several areas of the business to streamline paper intensive
processes, introduce workflow and aid collaboration.
" Business Process Design - Resolved several business process
and Visual Alms system issues, leading to increased business
efficiencies and collaboration.
