A senior member of the
middleware services team responsible for installation,
management and administration of middleware services and the
deployment, administration and performance tuning of J2EE
applications running on these platforms. The systems were
implemented on IBM Websphere application server on Sun Solaris
and Windows 2000 servers.
I had responsibilty for
the development of scripts using JACL for tasks such as

deployment manager installations. This high availability also
includes the use of edge server at the periphery of our systems
to make our web servers failover.
Our middleware solutions
are secured using Tivoli Access manager with Webseal at the
front end to secure web servers. We have utilised a number of
techniques in our security including certificate based
authentication for application to application security and
non-authenticated junctions for internal testing.
I have designed and
developed a prototype prescription transfer system using
Microsoft MQ and Biztalk 2000. This included the development of
COM objects in visual basic to integrate the system with MS SQL
Server 2000.
