Aided in the colleges migration from Novell
4.12 to Windows 2000. This has included setting up a test bed of
machines to check performance and reliability on a variety of
different machines with a wide degree of specifications, as well
as testing a possible move to using Terminal Server in a section
of the College. Prior to this I also supported a lab of Windows
NT Servers and Workstations for Microsoft training courses held
on a regular basis during the year, and supported a section of
120 computers in the Software Engineering department within the
College’s main campus.
Also aided in the setting up and supporting
of 5 Learn-direct sites through the College including upgrading
the servers and desktops to Windows 2000 throughout, proxy
issues, physical/software problems and setting up for MOUS
testing.
