Contracted to the [snip] since 1991, on a continually renewed contract, to develop their Central Accounting system based on the CA/SSA/INFOR Masterpiece package. Many projects successfully completed while working in different roles including Project Manager, Business Analyst, Developer, DBA and Application Support through all phases of the development life cycle. All work performed, conformed to LBN’s ISO9000 certified quality system. 

Projects and major tasks performed:

·         Project Manager, Designer and Technical specialist for conversion of mainframe system to Windows and Ingres version of Masterpiece/Net 1.1 for Y2K compliance with Java and IIS web front-end. Customisations, Interfaces and add-ons developed in Microfocus COBOL, Visual Basic and Access. Included major Data conversion and load. Hardware/Software procurement and set up tasks. Requirements, Design Analyse, Specifications and Project Planning documents produced using MS Office products, MS Project and Visio.

·         Ingres DBA for the 1.1 system and on-going Application support.

·         Upgrade to Masterpiece 1.2 and conversion to SQL Server 2000 for the database.

·         SQL Server 2000 DBA for the 1.2 system, and on-going Application support.

·         Technical IT Team Leader for upgrade to Masterpiece 1.3 with HTML, XML and Javascript front-end. Worked with LBN development staff to redevelop the customisations using the Masterpiece SDK and .net technologies. Project was managed using Prince 2 methodology.
