Media Gateway VISM (Voice Interworking Service Module). VISM,
housed on the MGX 8850 IP+ATM Multi-service Switch, functions as
an interface between PSTN and IP/ATM network. Developed and
tested VoIP/ATM solutions, wrote test plans, formulated DevTest
strategy, conducted reviews with architecture and development
teams, analyzed new features based on RFC & standards. Performed
MGCP/SGCP compliance, CLI, CAC, redundancy, profile and codec
selection, fax/modem upspeeding, failure management and alarms
testing. Executed bearer/VQT (PAMS, PSQM), Load Stress
Performance testing of voice & fax calls for CAS, PRI and SS7
using DCOSS and Ameritech. Performed interoperability testing
with Cisco 3810 routers and VSC call agents

Accelerated the cycle of resolution of problems by identifying
the concerned software team. Extensively communicated with other
teams, used specialized tools for problem analysis, got special
trainings to work as an expert. Successfully finished projects
for France telecom, Cyprus, Poland, India, Qatar, North Korea,
Vietnam, Cambodia, Mauritania etc. Coordinator for
Maintenance: Managed problems coming from sites for
resolutions, time lines & resource allocations. Reproduced
problems on model switches (exchanges), used simulators to
simulate the on-site traffics, provided backup technical support
for on-site upgrading process, supported Y2K upgrades, gained
in depth knowledge of problems coming from sites. Project

three months to incorporate Intelligent Network and protocols in
a new standard export software release for the [snip] 1000 E10
switch
