postgraduate Research work

Final Project:   -

TITLE: Are they peers? An evaluation of performance of models of peer to peer networks

AIMS: There are three main models for peer to peer networks – pure, hybrid and mixed. The choice of such models in real world applications seems to be driven as much by legal or market constraints as by the advantage of the underlying approach. This project aims to investigate whether the current preferred model – the pure – has gained popularity solely due to legal considerations by investigating its performance in a simulated network.

Methodology: Research in a simulated environment using NS2 as the simulations tool.

Technical Research Papers : -

Assessing the Performance of a Wireless Telecommunications System.

Security Analysis of Bluetooth.

Global Positioning System & Competing Navigation Systems.

Replacing Telephony with IP Networks.

Internet Television.
