Commendation

The final year MEng team project was in association with [snip] to develop a concept Mars explorer and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).  Using the brief given by [snip], and the environmental conditions of Mars, the specification was created and presented to [snip].  Once agreed, concept and then detail design work was commenced.  Weekly progress meetings chaired in turn to present our findings for the week were organised and information shared.  With restrictive mass and space requirements, exchange of information within the group between explorer and UAV teams was vital.  Mechanical systems were developed after consideration of locomotion, centre of gravity, storage, deployment, power, etc.  A CAD model was assembled for a final concept and presented to [snip].
