Reading, UK

Employed as a Nokia RAN 1ST Line Engineer for the [snip] I was responsible for investigating and rectifying material faults via remote monitoring of the network.  In November 2005 I gained promotion to Stability Engineer this required me to investigate the root causes of performance affecting issues, mainly RRC.

Paris, France

I returned in January 2006 and was again with [snip] and [snip].  The role I had was Team/Project Leader for the QoS of 4 ‘RNC.  During this 4 month project we Optimized these ‘RNC to improve performance by the following methods;

·        Iub and ATM Reconfiguration

·        RNC, AXC and WBTS SW upgrades

·        Utilizing KPI monitoring for faults such as SLEEPING CELLS and then testing or applying the correct remedies according to the failure reason (WBTS, AC, TRANS etc.)

             My responsibilities also included producing a daily Cell Availability report

             For the customer, direct requests from Nokia France and co-ordination of

             Problem Reports raised for Field Engineers.  Directly after this project I

             began a dedicated KPI project by collecting, analyzing and producing power

             point presentations from the following counters;

·        RSRAN004

·        RSRAN005

·        RSRAN006

            integrated into a customers existing environment and, using the

            OSS/NECTACT platforms, be set-up according to their needs and

            requirements.  The tool detects potential service affecting faults

            that are not highlighted by alarm monitors, all problem classes are

            represented by way of a user friendly GUI.  I was tasked with

            promoting this product and outlining all benefits to the customer.

            Dublin, Republic Of Ireland

            At the end of March I began A Stability Assurance Project with

            [snip], this time [snip] Ireland being the customer.  Here I

            was involved with a competency transfer, network “clean-up”,

            checking of all end to end parameters plus advising on the most

            effective and efficient ways to improve the cell availability.
