EXPERIENCE
• Over 12 years experience delivering large, complex IT
application, systems integration, and infrastructure programmes
for large multi-national blue-chip organisations in the
Telecoms, IT, Automobile and Banking sectors;
• Programme Director for integration of corporate IT networks of
[snip], [snip] and [snip] - including build of 4 network
centres, managing WAN connections to offshore call centres and
3rd party bill printing agencies;
• Programme Manager for [snip] and subsequently [snip] network
refresh of 50 sites, including 10 major call centres, major
offices and a data centre containing over 1000 servers;
• Programme manager for [snip] Inventory Management System with
interfaces to Provisioning and Billing Systems – projects
included multiple software releases and selection and
implementation of new hardware platform (EMC storage and HP
server);
• Full responsibility for Supply Chain Systems Applications and
Operational Support at [snip] Telecom (in 14 countries) –
Managing development of Oracle 11i eBusiness Suite interfacing
to Oracle Financials, Service Assurance and Billing systems with
further interfaces to national telecom incumbents in 14 European
countries for 54 products;
• Planning and managing programmes negotiating with large
suppliers such as [snip], [snip], [snip], [snip]/[snip] and

• Full accountability and authority to spend against budgets up
to £30million;
• Line management of teams with a maximum of 20 direct reports;

developments/roll outs and working on pre-sales bids for future

KEY ACHIEVEMENTS
• Successfully integrated the [snip]/TW IT networks in 4 months
against an immovable deadline to allow all further system
integration to take place during a period of great change and
uncertainty;
• Within a year upgraded [snip] Corporate IT network (LAN/WAN)
at 50 sites, including 10 major call centres and one data centre
whilst maintaining 100% up-time, maintaining the confidence of
the business and ensuring no loss of revenue (Telesales) or
Customer Service systems;
• Re-started and successfully turned around stalled Order
Handling Programme at [snip] against extreme deadlines and
pressures set by Fidelity Investments – won an award for
outstanding performance including share options;
• Migrated Oracle development from Oracle to internal centre of
excellence established in India significantly reducing the cost
of development;
• Successfully consolidated from 14 European countries fault
management processes, systems and data from 11 instances to 1
for [snip] service assurance systems – promoted to much more
senior position as a result of this project and others;
• Main force responsible for changing [snip] global prototyping
process from historical-based to demand-based, saving millions
of dollars per car-line development;
• Identified huge cost savings for [snip] by migrating them away
from renting 3rd party MPLS network to using 10Gbps super
network established with the above.
EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

• Responsible for 7 PMs, multiple teams and projects relating to
the network integration of [snip], [snip] and [snip];
• Managed network build to 3rd party responsible for online bill
printing;
• Managed network links to offshore call centres in India with

• Responsible for national WAN optimisation by delivering 60
National Ethernet circuits to 30 sites.
• Oct 2005 – Nov 2006: Programme Manager: Corporate IT
Data Network Upgrade at [snip] (Contract)
• Initially requested to kick start this stalled programme to
renew LAN hardware and WAN links to 50 sites, with creation of
solid business case and obtaining approval from the board;
• Arranging the outsourcing of network management to a 3rd
Party;
• Responsible for £8.5m budget one internal team of 17, team
from [snip] and team from [snip] Business;
• Oct 2004 – Oct 2005: Programme Manager: Inventory
Management System at [snip] (Contract)
• Responsible for team of 20 people (project and operational) to
deliver multiple software releases, data cleanse and deliver
service improvement via a hardware platform upgrade (HP/EMC)
• Contract extended twice before being selected for Network

• Feb 2003 – Oct 2004: Senior Programme Manager: Supply
Chain Systems at [snip]
• Responsible for multiple order-handling projects supporting
the launch of both new high-revenue generating products and
migration of legacy systems and data to new Oracle 11i eBusiness
platform with interfaces to multiple systems;
• Full authority to spend against a budget of £30million and
line manager of 20 [snip] staff with further 30
contractors/consultants;
• Responsible for both projects and 24x7 operational support;
• Credited with successfully re-starting and delivering this
stalled programme of work.

• Successfully rationalised Call Centre/Network Operations
Systems from 11 instances to 1 including data migration and
interfaces to Oracle Financials. Prior to this responsible for
