  • 13.0 km long head race tunnel
  • 300.0 m long diversion tunnel

Transmission Engineer, [snip] Project 

Engaged in overall construction supervision and contract Administration of 33kV Transmission lines namely 

·         21km 33kV Lynx conductor double circuit tower line from Nuwara Eliya Grid Substation to Niyamgamdora to provide supply to switch yard area and adit 2 area. 

·         12km 33kV Lynx conductor double circuit tower line from Henfold via Lindula Gantry to Talawakelle to provide supply to the Talawakelle intake dam area.

Resident Engineer, Construction and Replacement of Railway Bridges Project 

Engaged in Construction supervision and Contract Administration of Railway Bridge construction in Seeduwa and Ja-Ela, includes

 This project is to construct a dam across Kotmala Oya and a powerhouse to generate electricity with a capacity of 150 Mw. The work included the surveying of resettlement areas, blocking out of available land for resettlement, and prepare the layout plans.                                                  

Civil Engineer, Construction of   Wastewater Storage Pond                 

Biyagama Export Processing Zone 

The project intends to construct a wastewater storage pond to purify the wastewater of Biyagama Export Processing Zone before releasing to the Kelani River. The work included the preparation of BOQ, engineer's estimate and the tender document. Construction supervision is also carried out

Civil Engineer, Integrated Urban Development Project, Modarawila 

The Project comprises of constructing a road network for the Modarawila industrial zone. Setting out of the road with the contractor, construction supervision, preparation of payment certificates were the tasks handled.

 

             Mar. 1999 to Jul. 2000

:

Resident Engineer, Bambarabatuwa Oya Mini Hydropower Project 

The project is to generate electricity by means of constructing a weir, power canal, forebay, three penstocks and a powerhouse. The work covered construction supervision, checking the monthly bills, certifying the same and preparing the rates for variation orders as well as to other disputed items.

 

             May 1998 to Mar. 1999

Site Engineer, Southern Province Road Development Road Project  Kamburupitiya 

The project is to construct a road in Kamburupitiya. The work includes the setting out of the road, preparation of work schedules, labour handling, material handling, preparation of monthly invoices.
