Freelance authors are used to create articles for [snip] – a Website with over a million subscribers receiving the latest research in life sciences and related fields. I devised and created a bespoke Content Management System allowing the authors to publish straight to the Web.

I developed a feedback section for the [snip] own website  to capture more detail and allow the owners to analyse results from their desktops. For http://www, I built a section that shows police officers how their pay would change under the Police Reform bill.

[snip] is Europe’s largest supplier of defence and commercial satellites – locations in four countries employ over 8,000 people. I addressed the requirement for a management overview of hardware testing by producing a system that displayed the test results in a browser window.

·         SQL Server 2000 and Visual C++ development through the full project lifecycle

·         Built a DHTML web front end onto [snip] for [snip] a charity website. Components used were ASP, MSMQ and Scriptlets. Messages were sent to the ASP pages from the [snip] application using XML and transformed with XSLT into the final Web pages
