I am a SOA Architect and Project Manager with over 6 years SOA business and technical management experience and 14 years total experience. 

Over 14 years experience managing and implementing complex business focussed solutions.  Also, previously a co-founder of a hosted SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) platform company focussed on the financial services industry, in particular financial supply chain integration, life & pensions process integration.

Key achievements include:

  • Managing three streams of work, 2 development and one production support.
  • Matrix managing a team of 15 people across the UK and US for the development of an underwriting system in Java and .Net.  An extension to an existing package sold into the organisation.
  • Developed and managed detailed project plan to manage a software development team for more than 2000 man days of effort.
  • Managed a total of £5million budget including estimating calculating and controlling where budget was spent.

This is a niche consultancy and vendor selling operational risk consultancy and products to financial services markets (including investment banking and asset management). Their product set also includes a treasury management system, Operational Risk Management tool focused on Basel II and SoX compliance.
