                                               Systems Manager / Production Engineer

Management of the engineering computer systems with emphasis on CADCAM and CAE. Involved in all aspects of Production Engineering for the company, with responsibility for ensuring all projects had the required resources and were completed on time and to budget.

Responsible for developing and overseeing manufacturing methods for the airframe machining department and acting as a consultant and technical support for two other divisions. 

Wrote customised software programmes: A major success being a project for the A340-600 Airbus.  I developed a manufacturing method, created a technique to organise the information and then wrote the software. To prove the companies capabilities I gave a presentation of this procedure at Airbus UK, which helped win a major order. The continued use of this system led to follow up orders spanning 6 years and was also used for the development parts of the A380 ‘Super-Jumbo’.
