£500k project to move 5,000 Exchange Users at the [snip] to
Exchange 2003 in a joint environment of about 25,000 [snip]
users (courts and magistrates).

£300k project to install a correspondence case management system
to deal with the cases from Ministers’ Private Offices (this
involved co-ordinating the efforts of a third party development
organisation, several other third parties and the organisation
of [snip] staff to produce the necessary infrastructure.
From Aug 04 to May
05 Programme Office Manager for [snip] Partnership:

responsible for all aspects of financial management of programme
worth £14 million over 5 years (including preparing project
justifications and preparing and presenting monthly project
status reviews). This was particularly taxing as the work was
fixed price and the client was cost constrained and was always
wanting to increase the scope of the programme without extra
cost – this meant that I needed to exercise particularly
stringent cost control and use of change control/ impact
analysis.

created and managed the Programme Office. This was greatly
assisted by my knowledge of SharePoint (as below) to assist in
storing key project documentation.

responsible for ensuring that the programme was ISO 9002
certified. In this capacity I ensured that the programme was
ready for quality audits – during my time at Slough we had three
internal audits and an external audit by BSI. I was also
responsible for the day-to-day operation of the quality system
and ensuring that staff were following procedures
From Jan 04 to Aug
04 Leader and Advisor for use of SharePoint in a project
environment:

led an
internal project in the UK Public Sector to support the roll out
SharePoint to [snip] projects on a world wide basis. This work
involved discovering the features of SharePoint and then selling
these benefits to projects. This included making presentations
to users and project managers, producing training material and
setting up templates which were helpful to projects. This work
was completed successfully as it has been absorbed as a tool for
the mainstream delivery of projects.
From Sep 02 to Dec
03 Project Manager for [snip]:

led a
£2.5 mill project to set up a DII/C project setting up an IT
infrastructure for 300 staff moving from a number of locations
to a single location in Bath – these staff were involved in the
delivery of munitions (bullets, shells and missiles) to the
troops. All work was undertaken using PRINCE methodology. This
work was from producing a PID through to a final project review.
This work involved co-ordinating 6 or 7 internal and external
suppliers. The project was considered a success as all staff
were moved on time with minimum disruption during a period of
high activity (the invasion of Iraq).
From Jan 02 to Sep

included organising all design documentation and assuring that
all the work conformed to the project’s ISO 9002 registration
