Personal Statement

I have been an IT professional for over 25 years and have worked in all areas of IT from operations to IT Director .  I currently work for two large clients acting as Head of IT  developing their IT Strategy and directing their IT functions.

I am also an experienced software developer having worked with database applications for much of my career. I generally develop and design software based on Microsoft SQL server database technology combined with ASP / HTML and VB Scripting.  In addition I am experienced with COGNOS 8 Business Intelligence in both Framework design and Report development using Report Studio.

My main business experience has been in the Freight Forwarding Logistics ,Distribution and Pharmaceutical sectors and have implemented many mission critical Financial , Order processing and Warehousing applications involving substantial bespoke development and data transformation.
