As Programme Director responsible for a cost transformation
programme to deliver £4 million savings against the Finance
Department budget.

As Programme Director responsible for a series of programmes of
work for the Halifax Bank including the e-Commerce project,
providing networking and security services to complement
Halifax’s introduction of a new electronic savings and shares
trading service via the Internet. Responsible for the
development and integration of a web based e-Wholesale Banking
application system to Halifax Treasury Group to allow their
corporate customers to make short-term deposits across the
internet, and involving infrastructure, platform and security
enhancements to the existing e-Commerce topology to accommodate
the implementation of the application. As a result of this
project, the client gained increased revenue of £300 million in
the first year. Responsible for the extensive and commercially
sensitive infrastructure and voice upgrades programme for the
Halifax Bank group. This latter programme represented a revenue
stream of £11 million to BT.

As Programme Director leading a multi-functional team to provide
Royal Mail with FeatureNet 1000 at 182 sites to an aggressive
roll out plan. This project represented a revenue stream of £95
million to BT and, more importantly, paved the way for a major
IT outsourcing deal with Royal Mail worth £1.5bn to the
consortium, and for BT being granted Gold Supplier status to
Royal Mail.

As Programme Director leading a multi-functional team to develop
of a set of broadband products jointly with a US strategic
partner, for launch in June 2003 predominantly into the travel
market firstly into Europe, then into Asia Pacific.

Contract Transition Director accountable for delivering ICT
outsourcing opportunities and complex solutions. Led the
delivery of the first two Middle Market client outsourcing
opportunities, including the TUPE of staff into BT.
Representing revenue of £40 million. Responsible for customer
satisfaction, financial targets and contract management as well
as implementation and handover. Headed a multi-functional team
involving BT, client and third parties; responsible for
permanent team of Programme Managers and Programme Office.

Head of Supplier Management owning in-life contract management
for third party print and despatch supplier contracts
representing a cost of over £40 million annually. Led internal
team covering operational, commercial and delivery functions as
well as legal and procurement. Responsible for the
renegotiation of a third party supplier contract that was
failing the business in terms of service and performance.
Additionally, owned and led the cost transformation programmes
representing savings of £4 million over a 2 year period.
