James is currently Project Managing the delivery of the
next release of Primary Care Software for three Clusters
in the Connecting for Health Programme. The work
involves end to end project management from initial
scoping of requirements to “First In Type” Deployment.
James spent 6 months working with the Integration
Authority as an UML Modeller. Providing MODAF views in
order for Military Procurements to pass through the
required “gates” and to provide tools for evaluation of
ongoing procurement viability.
In 2006 James worked with the London Cluster Local
Service Provider (BT Capital Care Alliance) to develop a
Six Sigma Programme of work, to improve the management
of the service delivery of the National Care Records
Solution in the Capital, working with the three players,
GE Health, BT and Connecting for Health
In 2004 – 2005 James worked on the National Programme
for IT, James worked with the Eastern Cluster Local
Service Provider as a Functional Lead. This broad role
has encompassed a variety of activities from general
project planning, GAP analysis, business process
redesign, technical configuration, issue management,
assigning work packages and ensuring these were
executed, education and awareness and training and
development.
More specifically as a member of a diverse project team,
James maintained robust communication through informal/
formal meetings and the use of status and highlight
reports, both with the local community and with the
central LSP. James has responsibility for the tailoring
of a national product to the needs of a local Health
Community (where possible) this meant engaging staff at
all levels, managing conflicting needs and priorities,
and managing the development of solutions to issues,
whether these be technical or process driven.
James previously worked as a Project Manager for Torex
(now part of iSOFT) and for the NHS for 6 years in a
wide variety of roles, from Project Management, Business
Change and Benefits Realisation to working on the
procurement of a Trust Electronic Patient Record,
Information Management and Clinical Audit. His ability
to meet agreed timescales (often with financial
milestones), carry out negotiations with all levels of
staff, together with his drive and enthusiasm, has been
key to his success. |
