Became a Councillor for the Royal Borough of Kingston upon

the Chairmanship of various Committees, including Finance,
Policy and Leisure. Chairman of the Computer Committee from 1975
to 1995.
Made an Honorary Alderman in 1996, a sinecure, but nice.
HOBBIES
Sport,
Cricket and family history. Quizzes, (reached final of
University Challenge with the University in 1968. Runners up in
the Evening Standard quiz of 1999. Winner of 15 to 1 heat in
