IT consultant with an extensive background in both general
purpose and specialist software training. Is able to communicate
with PC users at all knowledge levels and abilities in a relaxed
and informative manner.

Activities include
creating training course notes and documentation, creating
exercises and example data files and delivering standard and
bespoke courses on the clients premises in all modules of
Microsoft Office (Currently up to Office 2007) and Project 2003.
Other software packages taught are IQ Report Writer (A Windows
package) and the CTX Housing Database which is a Unix/Informix
based program.
Other activities
are all those concerned with running a training operation, such
as marketing, accounts and administration. A web site is
currently under construction.

Recruited by
[snip] (then known as Context Computers) after delivering
numerous training courses - as a freelance trainer - to their
new Housing Association clients using the CTX Housing Database.
Duties with [snip] included application development and quality
control, account management, course development, documentation
and delivery. Also delivered Microsoft Office training both
internally and to Housing Associations.
January 1990 to
September 1995
Self-Employed
Creating and
delivering training courses in WordPerfect, Lotus 123, Microsoft
Word and Excel to industry, charities, private individuals and
various employment and training agencies. Was employed as a part
time consultant by The Guinness Trust to learn and then train in
the CTX database which led to contract work from the suppliers
of the software and then to a full time position.
Prior to 1990 was
almost exclusively working in sales.
