CAPABILITIES
·
Manufacturing, Supply Chain
or Distribution/Logistics Consultant.
I am capable of being either the Lead
Consultant, the Sole Consultant, or to be Part of a Team
implementing or supporting the clients [snip] ERP solutions.
·
Prototyped Solutions.
I am able to fully research and analyze the clients and users
needs and translate those needs into prototyped vanilla [snip] scenarios, with optional add on solutions. This allows
the client to decide on the solutions that best fits their
needs.
·
Project Management.
I am capable of preparing and managing project schedules. Over
the many implementations I have been involved in I have
identified the key milestones needed and what is required
before, during and after each milestone. This has allowed my
projects to be implemented on time or early every time, but to
still be flexible to the client’s availability.
·
Training and Presentations.
During all of my implementation projects I have given all the
JDE application training and tailored that training to meet the
client’s needs. In South Africa I also gave official JDE
module-training courses at their head office or at the clients’
sites. I always ensure all the trainees get satisfactory
answers to their queries and fulfill their training objectives.
I also prepare and present different prototype solutions for
users or management approval.
·
Conference Room Pilots.
During these and Training sessions on site, I normally request
two intensive 2 hours sessions every day, with a small break on
the hour, but at least an hour free before, after and in between
the two sessions. I have found this to be the most productive,
allowing the users time to clear their in-trays three times a
day. This reduces or eliminates the need for interruptions
during the sessions and allows users to concentrate, without
being distracted or getting information overload. It also
allows me time to investigate issues and address them at the
next session, while they are still fresh in everyone’s mind.
