Candidate profile and objectives |
|
|
|
The
candidate has specific expertise in OOP (i.e.
C++/Java/C#, J2EE, Symbian) and OO-modeling (i.e. UML),
and works mainly on Windows and Linux technologies.
The
candidate is actually working in Hewlett & Packard. He
is developing a platform for business services using
J2EE technologies.
Formerly, he worked as academic researcher doing
analysis and software development in several National
academic projects. During these activities he gained a
good skill using designer and developer’s tools (i.e.
Rational Rose, Eclipse, IBM RAD/RSA Make, Ant, MySQL),
and administration’s services (i.e. Apache Web Server,
Apache Tomcat Application server, WebSphere server).
The
candidate had also job experiences in dealing with
software system for remote controlling civil engineering
plants, where his skills have been applied throughout
the software development process. Requirements analysis,
UML design, C# and .NET development of crucial
application components, and system administration, were
his responsibilities.
He
likes to work in team as well as individually. He has
good communication and problem solving skills. He is
looking for a position as Software Engineer in a company
where he can express his ability to produce innovative
market solutions using most recent technologies. |

Project:
SDP, Service Delivery Platform. The goal of project
is developing a service oriented platform for business
services for Poste Italiane, the postal service leader
in Italy. The project is based on J2EE, Spring WS and
XML technologies. I am using RSA tool (based on Eclipse)
for programming and WebSphere as WebServer.
Responsibilities:
I am responsible for developing the business layer of
this platform. I also make analysis and testing. |

Project:
Software Monitoring System for plants. The goal of
project is a software system for remote controlling of
plants in the field of civil engineering. This software
system interacts with a hardware architecture composed
of both sensors and data acquisition units. The
interaction is ruled by a proprietary protocol based on
ASCII messages and the system is developed using
Microsoft.Net. I used UML for designing process and C#
for programming.
Responsibilities:
I had the responsibility of both designing and coding
the software system. |

Period: Jan 2006 – Oct 2006
|
Project:
The goal of project is the development of a system for
collecting data from a WSN and display it on a Web
application and on mobile devices. Several MICA sensors
measuring dynamic parameters such as speed and
acceleration are deployed on a structure, for example a
tunnel. Data collected by a gateway are immediately
available on-site through a mobile application based on
Bluetooth technology. The mobile application is written
in Java for J2ME platform and is currently working on
the most of mobile devices A web application based on
JSP and Servlets and Apache Tomcat server lets data be
accessible over Internet.
Responsibilities:
In this project I had the responsibility of collecting
requirements and lead a team of players in the process
of design and coding of the software system. |

Dependablity analysis of Wireless Sensor Networks:
the goal of project was the development of a WSN
prototype for critical scenarios. The prototype consists
of 10 MICA sensors deployed in an area which measure
several environmental parameters and a gateway which
collects data. A software monitor shows information
collected from each sensor and lost packets. This
prototype was developed in Java using Eclipse plugin for
TinyOS.
Duration:
January 2006 – October 2006
Responsabilities;
I had the responsibility of analyzing all dependability
requirements and developing software application for
sensors. |
|
Dependability analysis of Symbian mobile phones:
The goal of project was the development of a failure
data collector for Symbian OS.
Duration:
March 2005 – March 2006
Responsabilities;
I made a comprehensive study of Symbian OS and I
identified several dependability failures. I designed
and coded a software system for collecting information
about failures and about phone activities. Afterwards,
data have been analyzed and failure sources have been
pinpointed out. Software technologies such as Symbian
C++ and CodeWarrior have been extensively used. |
