PROFILE

My expertise is in large scale, distributed systems design and implementation and I am specialized and certified MCSD.NET on the Microsoft.NET platform. I provide services ranging from IT Consulting to Web sites design and implementation, including custom software development and technical migration to the Microsoft.NET platform.

Through my 9 years of experience, I have always proactively learnt new technologies, especially on the Microsoft platform. Here is a list of some of the technologies and areas I excel in: OOA/OOD, Pure C++, UML, Visual C++/MFC, COM/DCOM, Visual Studio .NET, C#, VB.NET, XML Web Services, ASP.NET, Win Forms and SQL Server 2000, to name a few.

I have the infrastructure to work partly or fully off-site, which allows me to propose more cost-effective solutions for the client. I follow a software development process based on the Unified Process (UP) to provide reliable, efficient and future-proof IT solutions at the heart of the client business. All my solutions are well-documented, easy to maintain and adapt to new business needs.

PAST EXPERIENCE

2004-2005

[snip] - Client: - Paris (France)

[snip] is a large financial institution. They had an extremely important deadline for an application (data exchange between them and one of their suppliers), which they were not able to fulfil on time with their internal team. I quickly got into their system, established an efficient communication with their supplier and developed ahead of schedule what they needed. The technologies I used were a mix of Visual Basic 5.0 (client code legacy) and .NET technologies (C#). As an IT consultant I then advised my client on solutions to improve their IT system and how to migrate their current IT to Microsoft.NET technologies for their future needs. They plan to implement the proposed IT solution as soon as possible.

I have created [snip], as a result of years of experience in many IT companies. I have thought a company spirit and code of ethics and the aim is excellence for the clients. I provide a service of highest quality, combined with technical expertise in the newest technologies and backwards. I am thus in a position to provide my clients with the experience of full peace of mind and the assurance that UNIC will help them move forward.

2004

[snip] – Creation and Development

I have developed UNIC Moments using the Microsoft.NET technologies: ASP.NET, C# and SQL Server 2000 and using other common Web technologies such as JavaScript and CSS.

UNIC Moments is now up and running with hundreds of users and thousands of online photos and will keep growing. Coming very soon: online prints ordering with online payment, video sharing, access from mobile phones, advanced memberships for more functionalities and storage space, windows based application (Microsoft messenger like) for enhanced experience.

2002-2004

[snip] - Team Leader, Technical Architect - London (UK)

[snip] is an image processing company, developing predictive medicine software, mainly for early cancer detection.

I was the software leader of a team of 26 researchers and 10 software developers and in charge of defining the global system architecture for the [snip] software. I implemented with success a software development process based on the Rational Unified Process (RUP) and the technical documentation was done using UML and Rational Rose. This development process was a key to our success in releasing a CE Marked and FDA approved range of applications (Colon, Heart and Lung software). The technologies used were pure C++, Visual C++/MFC and COM/DCOM.

I then proceeded with success to the technical migration of the whole software, layer by layer to the new Microsoft.NET framework, using C#, SQL Server 2000 and the Win Forms.

1997-2002

I had been working for [snip] as an IT consultant for 6 years. I worked for many clients, [snip] to name a few. I improved over the years my technical expertise and my client-facing communication skills.

I started working as a C++ software developer to then evolve to software architect and technical lead roles. I always kept learning new technologies. I am passionate by IT and will always learn more. While always getting up to date with new technologies, I improved my pure software engineering skills to become a specialist and lover of object oriented analysis and design (OOD) and large scale component-based, multi-tiered IT solutions. Microsoft.NET (and other technologies before) is just being the tool I used to implement the solutions.

EDUCATION

2004	Microsoft Certified Solution Developer on the .NET platform - MCSD.NET The MCSD.NET certification comprises 5 exams, assessing skills on all areas of multi-tiered application development (Windows development and Win Forms, ASP.NET Web development, XML Web Services, Solutions Architecture and SQL Server 2000. All were passed in C#).
1997	Graduated from ESIEE - Paris, France Equivalent to a Master’s degree specialized in Software Engineering.
