Do you charge Candidates to use the service?

I like the idea of hiring direct, but can I use ITCD to negotiate with the candidate
 

Yes. If you do not wish to negotiate terms with the candidate, we will undertake this for you. However you are still responsible for the terms agreed, we only act in an advisory role for you. [ top ]

     
Will I receive lots of telephone calls?
 

No. We do not call clients unnecessarily.  [ top ]

   
What guarantees do I have that my search will offer suitable people?
 

None. We will only forward details of candidates who fulfil your requirements.  The more specific the data provided to us by both yourselves and candidates, the more likely it is that those candidates selected will prove able to undertake your work for you. Update: you can now undertake the search yourself using the ITCD on-line search facility.[ top ]

     
Do I get a guarantee on the quality of work from the candidate?
 

Part of the appeal of this service is that once we have put you in touch with candidates who can provide the service you require, it is for you both to agree a mutually acceptable framework within which to work. You can request such a guarantee, and the candidate can choose to agree or not. [ top ]

     
What cut do you take from candidate's work fees?

Who pays the candidate?
 

You pay ITCD and we pay the candidate, or if you are using the Contractor Introduction Service, you do. [ top ]

   
What if my Company rules only allow me  to hire through Preferred Supplier Lists?
 

Naturally, for the benefit of the company we would suggest you try to change policy. However, in extreme cases we may still be able to help. Talk to us about your specific needs.[ top ]

   
If my Company rules only permit me to hire through a third party with payment being made to the third party, can I still use your service?
 

Yes. We have a special facility to solve this. Your candidate can use one of the many umbrella organisations in the market place to handle Invoicing. [ top ]

     
Do you tell candidates when you send their details to me?
 

Yes. We obtain their permission first to send their resume to you. (also see next item) [ top ]

 
When you send me details of a candidate, do you tell them who I am?
 

No. Part of the attraction of the service to clients is that they are able to receive details of people who fit their vacancy requirements, and that they can then choose who they contact. [ top ]

   
Do I have to pay any fees if I engage a candidate, or reengage one I have used before?
 

Yes. We charge a one off finders fee of #750 (reduced to #650 if you have previously taken a candidate on contract from us in the past 6 months). All fees are plus VAT at the prevailing rate [ top ]

   
Do I have to pay any fees if I offer a candidate full time employment?
 

Yes, full details can be found on our sister site ITCD Permanent who handle all our permanent positions. [ top ]

   
Does your database only contain candidates who are available full time?
 

No, we also accept membership from Permanent, part-time, home workers, and those seeking fixed price work. [ top ]

   
What if I am unhappy with the quality of work provided by the candidate?
 

In the first instance, this should be discussed directly with the candidate. If you are unable to reach any agreement on a way forward, you can withdraw from your agreement with them.[ top ]

   
What happens if the candidate lets me down, or commits a serious breach of trust?
 

We will investigate any such incident, and if satisfied that unprofessional behaviour has occurred, we will remove the candidate from our database of candidates. [ top ]

   
Do you share your database with other organisations or sell my details?
 

No. Not without your permission.[ top ]

   
Do you offer any discount or pay any fee for introductions?
 

No. This would increase client fees, which would reduce client numbers, which would reduce opportunities for candidates.[ top ]

     
Why do you prefer I contact you via the Internet?
 

If we provided more telephone lines, we would need additional staff to answer them. This would increase our costs, which in turn would result in higher fees.[ top ]
